Many times, our limitations in wrist mobility can affect other areas of our life. This can be evident in more advanced movements such as push-ups or the front-rack position in weight-lifting. In severe cases, it can even impact simple everyday activities such as lifting grocery bags or typing on the computer at work.

If left unaddressed, the limitations in wrist mobility can lead to compensation by the elbow or shoulder which can lead to injury in those joints as well.

Below, I have listed 3 simple wrist mobilization exercises which can help to improve range of motion, and decrease pain associated with wrist movements:

  • Wrist Extension Mobilization
  • Wrist Flexion with Banded Distraction Mobilization
  • Wrist Extension with Banded Distraction Mobilization

Note: This post originally included a video demonstration of these exercises. Please refer to our updated resources or schedule a consultation to see these exercises demonstrated in person.
