Running Gait Analysis in Friendswood, TX

Stop Guessing. Fix What's Breaking Your Stride.

Runners in Friendswood come to us when recurring pain keeps cutting mileage short — and rest keeps letting them down. We film and analyze your running to find exactly what's driving it — one-on-one, for a full hour.

Running Without Answers Costs More Than a Lost Race

Training stalls at the same threshold

Each training block ends the same way — same mile, same flare. That's not a fitness problem. It's a mechanics problem.

Adjustments without data keep the cycle going

Changing shoes or shortening your stride might quiet the pain briefly. Without knowing the actual mechanical cause, you're working against a problem you can't see.

The injury returns when mileage builds back up

Rest quiets the pain. It doesn't fix the stride pattern underneath. When mileage climbs again, the same mechanics load the same structure — usually sooner than before.

What Runners in Friendswood Are Saying

Runners back to full mileage in Friendswood, TX

Amazing professional customer service! I went to Dr. Lee to check on a lower back pain I had for about 5 days from lifting heavy objects at work, it felt like a pinched nerve with pain all the way to my toes only on my right side. Today I had an appointment with Dr. Lee and he went through the whole introduction process, how I got injured, how I felt for the past days of when the injury happened. Then he moved to the process of explaining and asking more questions about my pain. He then proceeded for the treatment and movement therapy where my pain went from 7 to 0. I really recommend Dr. Lee for any muscle pain, maybe a bad movement or posture that is causing you pain and not do your regular routine, he will help you.

On March 4, 2024, I began physical therapy with Arthur at Infinite Athlete Physical Therapy & Performance. My trainer at Athletic Body Mechanics in Friendswood, Coach Allen recommended that I seek out physical therapy with Arthur as I am dealing with Plantar Fasciitis, tendonitis, and arthritis. For me, Arthur used a program called the Strong Foot Routine. This plan combined with strengthening, flexibility, and exercises along with dry needling. I have to admit I was nervous about the dry needling but Arthur is very skilled and professional and eases you into it. I can tell you it’s helping me! In addition, I would like to add that I’m and older woman, 68 to be exact, and I appreciate Arthur’s patience with me at all times.

Frequently Asked Questions

Gait analysis is new to most runners. Here's what people ask before their first session.

What exactly happens during a running gait analysis?

We film you running at your normal pace and review the footage together. We look at foot strike, hip mechanics, arm carry, cadence, and how your form shifts when you fatigue. You'll see exactly what's happening in your stride and leave with a clear picture of what's driving your pain.

Do I need a referral to get a gait analysis?

No referral is needed in Texas. You can book directly and start the process as soon as you're ready. Most runners come in dealing with a specific pain point — we use the analysis to find out what's behind it.

How is gait analysis different from running physical therapy?

Gait analysis is the assessment — it tells us exactly what's happening in your mechanics. Running PT is the treatment that follows. At Infinite Athlete, they're part of the same session. Your evaluation includes the analysis so treatment is matched to what the footage reveals, not a best guess.

Can I keep running while going through gait analysis and treatment?

In most cases, yes. We build a plan that keeps you running as much as your tissue can handle while we address the mechanical issue. Stopping entirely is rarely the right answer. The goal is finding a load your body can tolerate while the underlying pattern gets corrected.

What if I've already had gait analysis somewhere else?

Prior analysis is useful context — we're happy to review it. What matters is what your mechanics look like now, under the loads and distances causing your current problem. We'll assess fresh and build a plan based on where your stride is today.
