Sports Physical Therapy in Friendswood, TX

Built for Athletes Who Refuse to Sit Out.

Athletes in Friendswood come to us when pain or injury keeps interrupting the sport they're built around. We find what's driving it and build a plan to fix it at the source — one-on-one, for a full hour.

What Happens When Sports Injuries Don't Get Addressed

Your training keeps getting interrupted

Every week, the same shoulder, knee, or hip flares before you finish practice. The problem isn't your conditioning — it's an underlying issue that rest alone won't fix.

Compensations make the problem worse

Playing or training through pain shifts how you move. Those compensations load the wrong structures until a manageable issue becomes a serious one.

The same injury keeps coming back

Rest reduces symptoms. It doesn't fix the movement or tissue problem underneath. Without addressing the root cause, the same injury shows up again when training ramps back up.

Arthur with Infinite Athlete has helped me more at understanding my hip issues so I can begin healing. I've been dealing with these issues since 2005 and am now starting to improve with his help. I'll be forever grateful to him.

I came to Dr. Lee at Infinite Athlete Physical Therapy with significant knee pain that was limiting my ability to walk comfortably and lift weights at the gym. Dr. Lee developed a clear plan to address my concerns and worked with me to achieve my goals. Thanks to his expertise and support, my knee pain has significantly decreased, and I'm now able to walk and lift weights much more comfortably. I highly recommend Dr. Lee!

Frequently Asked Questions

Sports physical therapy raises a lot of questions. Here's what athletes ask most before their first session.

What makes sports physical therapy different from regular PT?

Sports PT is built around the specific demands of athletic activity — how you move, load, and compete. Your evaluation goes beyond where it hurts to identify the mechanics or tissue issue driving the problem, and your plan is built around getting back to full competition, not just reducing pain.

Do I have to stop training or competing while I'm in PT?

Not necessarily. We build a plan that keeps you as active as your body can tolerate while we address the underlying cause. For most athletes, staying active at a modified level is better than stopping entirely. The goal is finding what your tissue can handle while we fix the problem driving your pain.

What does the initial evaluation include?

A full movement assessment focused on how your body performs under the demands of your sport. We look at mobility, strength, and movement quality to identify where things are breaking down — not just the area that's been bothering you. You leave your first session with a clear picture of what's going on and a plan to address it.

Can sports PT help if I've already tried rest and other treatments?

Yes. Rest manages symptoms — it doesn't fix the mechanics or tissue quality issue underneath. If you've been dealing with the same problem through multiple rest cycles, it usually means the root cause hasn't been addressed. That's exactly where sports PT is most effective.

What types of athletes do you work with?

All of them. Recreational athletes who play weekend sports, competitive athletes training for a season, and serious competitors recovering from surgery. If athletic activity matters to you and pain or injury keeps getting in the way, we can help you figure out what's causing it and build a plan to fix it.
